PPG PRC-DeSoto PR-1428 Class B-1/2 is a premium synthetic rubber compound engineered exclusively for aircraft access doors, inspection plates, and removable fuselage panels.
Once mixed and cured inside its precision Semkit delivery system, it behaves as a robust form-in-place (FIP) gasket. It develops excellent resistance to aviation fuels, lubricating oils, water, and contaminants while maintaining low peel strength.
This unique low-adhesion profile ensures that panels can be repeatedly unbolted and cleanly removed without tearing underlying substrates or requiring laborious scraping.
It is also highly effective for shielding critical electrical wires and terminal setups from environmental moisture or short circuits.
