- Pro-Seal™ PS 870 Class B-1/2 is a two-part, synthetic rubber compound designed as a high-performance sealant for faying surfaces, sealing joints, and sealing airframe components against moisture and aviation fuels.
- Infused with active corrosion inhibitors, it provides an outstanding barrier against galvanic and environmental corrosion, especially in high-salt marine environments.
- Formulated as a thixotropic paste, it has a 30-minute application life and mixes cleanly inside a specialized Semkit (injection cartridge) to ensure exact ratios for critical repair operations.
| Material | Two-component manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide liquid polymer containing active chromate corrosion inhibitors. |
| Finish / Coating | Cures at room temperature to a tough, resilient synthetic rubber paste with a Dark Grey color profile. |
| Dimensions | Standard multi-component cartridge configuration tailored for pneumatic or manual aerospace extrusion guns. |
| Weight | ~0.45 Pounds (Standard 6 oz cartridge container with a 2.5 oz or 3.5 oz net fluid fill volume). |
| Operating Temperature Range | Maintainable flexibility and performance across a service window of -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F), with intermittent brief exposure spikes reaching up to 135°C (275°F). |
| Standard / Grade | • Class B-1/2 (Thick paste formula with a 30-minute application/work life). |
| US Military | Fully qualified to MIL-PRF-81733D Type II-1/2 Class 1 Grade A (and SAE AMS 3265 alternatives). |
| Boeing | Qualified to BMS 5-95 and BMS 3-23 parameters. |
| Airbus | Meets standard multi-platform Consumable Material List (CML) guidelines for corrosion-inhibiting structure sealants. |
| Lockheed Martin | Certified under MIL-S-81733 for structural weapon system moisture sealing. |
| FAA | Extensively approved via localized structural repair manuals (SRM) and aircraft component maintenance logs handling critical faying surfaces. |
